Check out our latest catchup with Jonathan:

What first interested you in architecture?

Growing up, I was always interested in the arts and science/engineering. I felt architecture was a good combination of those fields.  Knowing that you’re physically leaving your mark in the form of a building and the impact it has on others is always a good drive.  Plus, its’ a pretty awesome feeling to point at a building and say, “hey, I designed that!”

What is your favorite current project?

Due to it being a local project and currently under construction, Legacy at Long Meadow.  Like other assisted living projects, it’s always interesting and a lot of hard work to see the coordination of project drawings and construction fall into place to produce a great building for end users of the senior community.

What project are you most proud of?

Legacy at South Plains due to it being the first assisted living project that I worked on.  It was a great learning process in dealing with a new building/construction type and state life safety codes for senior living.  In addition, I dealt with all aspects of the project from design development, construction documents, construction administration, monthly travel site visits, and final state building inspections.

Outside of work, what are your favorite hobbies and things to do?

I enjoy traveling, anything sports related, fan of all professional Houston teams, hitting up the gym, running, being a cool uncle and hanging out with my nieces and nephew.
