Houston, TX – Method Architecture has announced the acquisition of Architecture Plus, a boutique architecture firm in Austin, Texas. The acquisition will be the second for Method Architecture in the last 18 months. Method was formed through the merger of two Houston firms, Three Square Design and Architects Plus, in May 2016.
Architecture Plus has been serving the Greater Austin business community for 30 years with a long history in the public works sector. The full-service firm is led by principals Betty Trent, AIA, LEED AP and Mac Ragsdale, AIA. The 7-person team will bring experience and expertise in civic, residential and sustainability projects to the firm.

The acquisition of Architecture Plus supports Method Architecture’s plans for growth with a vision to break into the public work sector and expand their commercial portfolio into new markets. Method Architecture is licensed in 14 states and looks to continue expansion into new markets in the future. The company will continue to be led by Method principals Eric Hudson, Jake Donaldson, Keith Holley and Vanessa Ortega.

The deal will be completed in early October. The Architecture Plus team will continue to office out of their current space on North Lamar Boulevard in Austin. Mac Ragsdale and Betty Trent will stay on with the firm after the acquisition.
